Overview
The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car to take part in global rally races, and in 1991, 5,000 units were sold around the world. With its curved, powerful body, this car employed a 2-liter turbo engine with metal turbines and water-based intercooler system, which was capable of 235ps. The 4WD system utilized a center viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear for superior controllability and traction. In 1993 global rally races, the Celica GT-Four (ST185) brought both Manufacturer’s and Driver’s Championships to Toyota for the first time. This assembly kit recreates the RC (Rally Competition) version of the car, with a lightweight and durable polycarbonate body based upon the shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis.

The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car to take part in global rally races, and in 1992, 5,000 units were sold around the world.
The 4WD system utilized a centre viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear for superior controllability and traction. In 1993 global rally races, the Celica GT-Four (ST185) brought both Manufacturer’s and Driver’s Championships to Toyota for the first time.
The iconic Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST185) now joins the beginner-friendly TT-02 chassis lineup! Originally, the Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was designed as a homologation car for international rally competitions, and in 1992, it saw a global release with 5,000 units sold worldwide. Featuring its distinctive and muscular body design, this vehicle was equipped with a 2-litre turbo engine that incorporated metal turbines and a water-based intercooler system, delivering an impressive 235ps of power. Its 4WD system was enhanced with a centre viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear, ensuring exceptional control and traction. Notably, in 1993, during global rally events, the Celica GT-Four (ST185) secured both the Manufacturer's and Driver's Championships, marking a historic achievement for Toyota!
TT-02: Adaptable, balanced shaft driven 4WD
The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to give excellent stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios. It is not short on looks either, with brake disc-shaped wheel hubs and stylish front bumper supports. White dish wheels use racing radial tires.
The flowing curves of the car are recreated by a polycarbonate body, with stickers for details such as the side logo.
The retractable headlights are depicted in their raised position.
Separately molded plastic parts are used for the distinctive side mirrors.
The discreetly rounded rear spoiler is a separately molded part, while combination lamps are stickers.
Sporty white 5-spoke wheels are paired with treaded racing radial tires.
Resin ball links in the steering linkage joints make for smooth, comfortable motion.
