Description
The Kyosho Ultima is a triumphant return of a true RC legend. This reimagined icon captures the spirit of the original Ultima, a buggy that dominated the 2WD class at the 1987 Electric Off-Road World Championship, while incorporating modern technology and performance enhancements for today's enthusiasts. The Ultima retains its classic design and innovative features, but with upgraded materials and components throughout.
The Ultima features a durable and lightweight 60601-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium alloy monocoque frame, providing exceptional strength and rigidity. The 2WD Ultima channelled racing tech from the Optima into an electric racing buggy whirlwind that swept across the world. Consistent with the Vintage Series, the Ultima version has evolved in design and builds to satisfy performance standards for modern R/C racing circuits and power sources. Multi-pin block pattern rear tires deliver optimal performance on modern off-road tracks. Full ball bearing specs minimise drive loss and combine with high-durability sintered alloy metal gears, slipper clutch and motor guard to protect the drive system while crash-resistant resin rear wing is also included.
Relive the nostalgia of the Ultima glory with the this modern day version that has evolved into fine strung racing machine that lets you drive like a world champion
Features
6061-T6 Chassis
The lightweight and durable monocoque frame, crafted from tempered 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, provides a strong foundation for the Ultima. The versatile battery stay accommodates various battery types and features a hook-and-loop fastener for secure and convenient battery mounting
Front and Rear Double Wishbone Suspension
The front and rear double-wishbone suspension, with its optimised geometry and adjustable features, delivers exceptional handling and stability at all speeds. Impact-resistant nylon lower arms and metal rod upper arms allow for precise camber adjustments
Race Spec Suspension
Large-capacity 12mm diameter oil shocks, similar to those used on the Optima, provide superior running stability and smooth damping over uneven surfaces. The long-type nylon resin shock towers allow for further tuning to suit modern RC racing circuits
Race Spec Steering
The Ultima's steering system is engineered for precision and durability. The aluminium steering link, metal bushings, and robust servo saver provide a smooth and consistent steering feel, allowing you to navigate the track with confidence
Easy Set Toe Angle Settings
Fine-tune the rear suspension geometry with adjustable toe angle settings. Replace the resin bushings in the rear hub carriers to achieve toe angles of 1.0°, 2.0°, or 2.5°, optimising handling for specific racing conditions
48dp/0.5Mod Pitch Gearing
The Ultima's drivetrain is optimised for efficiency and performance, featuring a 48-pitch gear module that reduces drive loss and provides smoother power transfer
Slipper Clutch
Experience smooth and consistent power delivery with the integrated slipper clutch. This feature protects the gearbox and drivetrain from damage, ensuring reliable performance and extending the life of your components
Aluminium Rear Motor Guard
The included motor guard, made from durable 6061-T6 material, provides added protection for the motor. The resin wing mount offers two height settings and adjustable wing angles for customised aerodynamic performance
Multi Stud Tread
The rear tyres feature an optimised multi-pin pattern for stable grip on various surfaces, while the high-rigidity one-piece wheels replace the original Ultima's three-piece wheels.
