Overview

HPI Racing introduces the Venture18 U4, a compact Rock Crawler that brings the excitement of off-road adventure to a go-anywhere size. This vehicle features an officially licensed Ford Bronco 4400 body, inspired by Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s team mate Loren Healy's unmistakable Ford Bronco 4400 Ultra4 machine. The design includes a tough polycarbonate body with a tube-style roll cage, a detailed interior with driver figures, and a functional spare wheel. For convenience, it uses a front-hinged clipless body mounting system, making battery changes and chassis access quick and simple. A multi-mode LED light bar is integrated into the front grill, with control right from the transmitter for driving day or night.

Underneath the body, the Venture18 is built on a proven platform designed for performance. It uses a strong, formed steel C-channel chassis as its foundation. The drivetrain is a highlight, featuring an all-metal, servo-operated 2-speed transmission that allows you to switch between high-torque crawling and faster trail speeds. Power is sent to all four wheels through a full-time 4WD system with locked differentials and counter-rotating driveshafts, which help to manage torque twist when climbing. The Venture18 features a sturdy and reliable 4-link suspension front and at the rear. 4mm composite rod links with integrated ball links form the lower and upper suspension links front and rear.

The chassis layout has been reworked to accommodate the narrower Ford Bronco 4400 body. As a result, the side skirts and rock rails have been removed, and the rear chassis brace has been redesigned to house the radio components and battery pack.

V2 OIL-FILLED COILOVER SHOCKS

For ultimate trail tuning, the Venture18 U4 features aluminium-capped oil-filled threaded body shock absorbers with a new lower threaded aluminium seal cap and soft springs that will easily handle the gentle bumps and dips you encounter while driving, as well as the harder hits that come with off-road trailing!

You can tune your truck's ride with different shock oils or fine-tune on the run with the threaded aluminium spring collars to make the Venture18 perform at its best on the trail.

The Venture18 is equipped with a highly versatile SRL-706 3-in-1 electronic speed controller, which is packed with a full range of adjustments and capabilities. The SRL-706 is rated at 10A constant and 50A burst current and packs a lot of punch into something only 11g in weight.

The SRL-706 programmable settings can be controlled directly from the Transmitter! The TF-706 dip switches allow changes including, Drive mode, Battery mode, Drag brake and servo reverses for channels 5 and 6.

SD-01WR STEERING SERVO

The water-resistant HPI SD-01WR steering servo is the ideal companion for the Venture18 electronics package. This is a high torque servo with up to 1.1kg-cm holding power at 6V, plus it's water-resistant so it can easily handle splashes and water drops when driving through puddles, snow and mud. Mounted directly to the axle, it provides extra weight over the front axle to enhance the front weight bias of the Venture18.

METAL-GEARED SD-02MGWR STEERING SERVO

The water-resistant HPI SD-02MGWR steering servo is the ideal companion for the Venture18 electronics package. This is a high torque servo with up to 1.5kg-cm holding power at 6V, plus it's water-resistant so it can easily handle splashes and water drops when driving through puddles, snow and mud. Mounted directly to the axle, it provides extra weight over the front axle to enhance the front weight bias of the Venture18.

TF-706 2.4GHz RADIO SYSTEM

The Venture18 comes equipped with the cutting-edge TF-706 radio system, the latest addition to the HPI-Racing steering wheel and pistol grip lineup. This fully-featured, ultra-lightweight 2.4GHz 6-channel radio is designed for precision and control, offering complete adjustability to suit your driving style. You can also select the different light options on the Venture18, using the channel 3 button on the grip!

For added versatility, the TF-706 includes a thumb stick option, enabling one-handed driving - perfect for when you need to keep a hand free for filming, or photos or even a drink!

When paired with the SRL-706 3-in-1 RX/ESC and Light Controller on the brushed models, the TF-706 offers remote control of ESC settings, giving you even more flexibility and precision in tuning your performance on the go.
