The HobbyPlus 1/18 DKR-4 Fortis is a scale off-road rally truck RC model engineered to replicate the hardcore endurance and all-terrain performance of full-size desert rally racing vehicles. Built for versatile off-road operation on dirt, gravel, sand, and rugged trails, this RTR (Ready-to-Run) rig integrates premium mechanical structures, a high-torque brushless power system, and fully functional rally-specific features, delivering an authentic competitive rally driving experience for RC enthusiasts.

Description

 Desert rally racing has its roots in the rugged long-distance off-road events that emerged throughout the 20th century where durability was a must to tackle the gnarly elements they emerged upon. Early competitions challenged drivers to cross vast stretches of deserts through high-speed and technical terrain with minimal support. Over time, specialized rally trucks evolved from modified production vehicles into purpose-built machines designed to withstand thousands of miles of punishment. Events over several continents helped establish these Rally races as one of the most demanding categories in motorsports, showcasing massive suspension travel, powerful engines, and the ability to conquer some of the harshest environments on Earth.

     Today, off-road rally trucks continue to push the limits of off-road engineering. While smaller in size, we’ve built it to tackle dirt, gravel, sand, and rough terrain in much the same way as their full-scale counterparts. Long-travel suspension, durable HD metal drivetrain, realistic rally features such as two full-size spares, HD metal driveshafts, axles and outdrives, all-terrain Rally inspired tires, gullwing doors for rear bed accessibility, tilt cab for easy electronics access, remote operated front recovery winch, and a remote operated 2-speed transmission with neutral allow hobbyists to experience the excitement of rallying across a variety of terrain on a smaller scale. Complete with a newly designed inrunner brushless system from Hobbywing, the smiles per mile are at an all time high with the new DKR4 Forits.
