Overview
The HobbyPlus Terranaut 8X8 is a ready-to-run (RTR) 1/18 scale RC Crawler with advanced 8 wheel drive and independent, active all wheel steering system. This unique truck is designed and created for hobbyists looking for a highly detailed and capable off-road vehicle with features like a working winch, 2-speed transmission, and scale lighting. The primary trade-off is its specialized, high-performance nature, which comes at a slightly higher price point and complexity compared to more basic RC crawlers due to 8 Wheel Drive (8WD) train, 2 Speed transmission with Hydraulic Coil over Shock absorbers, Portal axels, Remotely controlled LED lights and a working winch.

The Terranaut 8x8 is based on the globally recognized CR18P platform and offers ready-to-use off-road capability.
Key Features
The revolutionary Active All-Wheel Steering (Active-AWS) system of the Terranaut 8X8 allows independent control of the front and rear wheels via a 6-channel FlySky transmitter. With the standard steering wheel and a thumb-operated swivel lever, tight U-turns, crab walk manoeuvres, and independent front and/or rear wheel steering can be performed at will and in a completely proportional manner.
The remote-controlled 2-speed transmission offers more precision for the task at hand and tactical precision for a variety of scenarios.
For precise rescues, technical obstacles, steep climbs and descents, and large transport tasks, the extremely low 1st gear with a 124:1 ratio provides the right amount of feel and control for absolute confidence in technically demanding situations.
While the first gear of the 280 brushed motor is the heart of the Terranaut, the second gear with a ratio of 31:1 offers plenty of speed to get you to your destination faster. It's just the right speed to have a little fun and hit the trails.
The integrated remote-controlled LED lighting and a fully functional recovery winch add realism and functionality, making it more than just an RC model.
The TERRANAUT 8X8 is ready to go right out of the box thanks to the included 2S/1100mAh battery and matching USB charger.
