Tamiya Mercedes Benz-AMG GT3 On-Road RTR RC Car (TT-02 / 58639)
Mercedes-AMG GT3
The stunning Mercedes-AMG GT3 is a production race car made for the FIA's GT3 class, and first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015. It employs a lightweight body with carbon fibre panels over an aluminium space frame, a large rear wing and diffuser, plus a monster 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. This R/C model assembly RTR version depicts the car as it was at the Geneva Motor Show, its polycarbonate body capturing the regal form of the short-deck long-nose racer, inclusive of the stylish grille. Separate parts are included to depict the side mirrors and distinctive rear wing. Also included are marking stickers to recreate yellow design accents, car number, AMG logos and more. Finished with Tamiya Colour Spray for Polycarbonate PS-63 Bright gun metal creates a truly impressive paint job.
TT-02 Chassis: Adaptable, Balanced Shaft-Drive 4WD
The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to give excellent stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios. It is not short on looks either, with brake disc-shaped wheel hubs and stylish front bumper supports. Black 12-spoke wheels are paired with slick tires for a racy finish.
An attractive body is recreated in polycarbonate, with separate rear wing and front/rear light case parts
The Gearbox cover can be removed by simply loosening screws on the frame
Resin ball links in the steering linkage joints make for smooth, comfortable motion
The Wheel hubs are designed to look like brake discs
A case is included to keep the all-important receiver protected from dust and dirt
The Motor cover includes a removable cooling duct (not attached in above image)
