Huge 1/7 Scale Bashing
ARRMA engineers have updated the MOJAVE 6S BLX 4WD Desert Truck with a Brushless power system featuring the Spektrum Firma 150A Smart ESC and Firma 2050Kv brushless motor. The combination lets you cut loose with incredible torque, acceleration and speed, while the heavy-duty aluminum and steel chassis and transmission components take it all in its stride. For improved steering, ARRMA also includes a new, steel gear Spektrum S652 Digital Servo — which is 32% stronger and 5% faster than the previous version's ADS-15M servo.
The ready-to-run package now also includes a 3-channel Spektrum SLT3 radio and Spektrum SR315 dual protocol receiver. Perfect for long hours of fatigue-free bashing, the transmitter's ergonomic design features a foam steering wheel for precise fingertip control and an improved hand grip and trigger feel. If you're a new driver, you'll be able to set throttle limits at 50% or 75% until you're ready to use the full speed potential. The SLT3 is compatible with Tactic SLT receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and includes a third channel to control optional features such as lights and winches on models that have them.
Because the SR315 receiver can use SLT and DSMR protocols, you can easily upgrade to a Spektrum DSMR transmitter later — then, download the free Spektrum Dashboard app for your mobile device and take full advantage of the Smart telemetry capabilities already present in the Firma electronics. You'll be able to receive real-time updates of ESC temperature, receiver (BEC) voltage, drive pack voltage and motor RPM.
With the rugged construction of the MOJAVE 6S BLX 4WD Desert Truck, you'll have the strength needed to survive anything — bashing through dirt, asphalt and grass, in sun, rain or snow. The tough-as-nails anodized aluminum chassis is reinforced with front, rear and center braces for maximum durability. Bumpers and nerf bars supply impact protection on all sides. Thanks to independent suspension with bump-soaking oil-filled shocks, the Desert Truck handles equally well over wicked and well-travelled tracks.
The drivetrain is a masterpiece of heavy-duty design. Featuring steel driveshafts, metal gears, and all-metal diff outdrives, it's ready to take full advantage of the brushless power system's potential. As it comes out of the box, the MOJAVE 6S BLX Desert Truck is incredibly fast. Use a 6S LiPo with the optional pinion gear upgrade (gear is included), and the resulting 60+ MPH speed potential is enough to crush any competitor. Keeping your truck in top form is easy. A sliding mount gives you access to the motor in seconds. You can remove the center diff for maintenance by taking out just five bolts.
Multi-terrain dBoots FORTRESS tyres on multi split-spoke wheels give your MOJAVE 6S BLX Desert Truck the grip to get up, over, or through anything in your way.
And it doesn't just perform like a winner. It looks like one, too, with a painted and decaled desert truck body, color-coordinated roll cage and roof rails, and even a detailed cockpit.
The Arrma Mojave 6S Body
There are very few extreme off-road bashers that try to look realistic, so it’s always appreciated when one does. The Mojave body pulls off the desert truck appearance pretty well, with tons of scale decals and scale details to enhance that appearance, like that hard plastic front tube bumper that pokes through the inside, but it’s only attached to the body. Below the tube bumper sits the actual bumper, half-hidden behind the body, and the remaining piece sitting below. It’s actually a flexible rubber piece, so it maintains the bumper look while being flexible to not dig into the surface.
The interior piece of the body is pretty slick, too, using a lexan piece attached from the inside, with roll bar tubing used on the bottom and the top, to safely sandwich the interior in place, and it is secured in there very well. This interior piece has two little guys, their seats, the steering wheel, and a dash all molded into it, then painted black, with more decals added.
The back has more details, including rear window venting to allow airflow, decals for fire extinguishers, a rear axle, and spare gas cans. One of the best and most useful details is the hard plastic skid plates found on the roof, so if you flip, you're sliding on those and not the body. They are also replaceable when they wear out.

How fast is the Arrma Mojave 6S BLX
For top speeds with a fresh 6S battery, the truck has been tested as is, straight out of the box, and it quickly achieved 53MPH.
After removing the stock pinion gear from the motor and replacing it with the high-speed pinion gear that’s included, recharged the battery, and when tried again, the truck went screaming by at 62MPH (over 100 Km/h).
The truck is also compatible with a 4S LiPo use. It’s not extremely fast, but it’s still fast, and the benefit is reduced wear on the drive train, and 4S batteries cost less, about a $80 difference in the case of these 6800mAh Gens Ace Bashing Pro batteries that we’re using. Speed runs on 4S LiPo power are still respectable, achieving 37 mph on the stock pinion gear and 45 MPH with the high-speed gearing. After the speed runs, reinstall the stock pinion gear, so you are ready to bash, and use the 6S LiPo to do it.
