Description
The Venture18 CC is packed with features. A centre servo operates the half-DIG, allowing you to lock the rear axle on demand for tighter turns and precise pivoting on rocks. The drivetrain includes front overdrive gearing for improved climbing, while brass components like beadlock rings and front hex weights are fitted as standard to lower the centre of gravity and increase forward weight bias. Combined with super-sticky ROVER 1.3" Pink Dot tyres on beadlock wheels, this crawler has incredible grip and stability.
Topping it all off is a stunningly detailed Ridgeline Half Cab body with a clipless mounting system for easy access. It comes pre-painted in either Matte Green or Gunmetal and features scale details like mirrors, a grille, and a tube-style half cage. The Venture18 CC comes fully Ready-To-Run (RTR) with a powerful 3S (3-cell, 11.1V) LiPo battery and USB charger included, making it the perfect choice for anyone wanting serious crawling performance straight out of the box.
HPI Racing Teases the Venture 18CC
Now being teased by HPI Racing is the Venture 18CC scale rock crawler. The HPI Racing crew first teased the Venture 18CC at the NHRSA show in Vegas a couple of weeks ago (early October 2025) and now we are getting closer to its full release date. The “CC” in the name stand for “Competition Crawler”, as this version of the Venture comes with loaded features for the hardcore user.

ROCK RAIL SLIDERS
The Venture18 CC features an all-new undercarriage, including redesigned smooth rock sliders (or rock rails) and a central skid plate. These components help the CC glide over obstacles that are just a bit too tall to clear completely, enhancing off-road performance while protecting the body from scrapes caused by rocks, roots, and other terrain hazards. Ingeniously, they also serve as trays for the battery and electronics, keeping the centre of gravity as low as possible for improved stability.
ROVER 1.3" OFF-ROAD Tires on CC-6 Beadlock WHEELS
The Venture18 CC marks the return of a fan-favourite crawler tire—now in a 1.3-inch size! Molded in the same super-sticky Pink Dot rubber as the popular 1.9” and 2.2” versions, these tires feature a mix of lug sizes across the tread face, with patterns that extend onto the sidewalls for improved traction on challenging terrain like moss-covered rocks and slick roots.
They're mounted on stylish black CC-6 1.3-inch, 3-piece beadlock wheels, complete with center hub caps that conceal the steel wheel locknuts for maximum scale realism. For added performance, each wheel includes a brass inner beadlock ring as standard, helping to lower the centre of gravity and improve stability.
COUNTER-ROTATING DRIVELINE
The Venture18 CC features Steel counter-rotating telescopic centre driveshafts with universal joints at both ends for super-smooth power transmission to the front and rear axles. This virtually eliminates torque-twist on the chassis when the truck is powering up tough inclines!
CENTRE SERVO OPERATED HALF-DIG TRANSMISSION
The Venture18 CC features a centre servo-operated half-DIG transmission that allows you to disengage rear-wheel drive, at the press of a button, sending power only to the front wheels. This enables tighter turning, sharper pivots, and improved manoeuvrability on technical terrain—perfect for repositioning the truck during challenging climbs or navigating tight switchbacks with precision. It's a simple but powerful tool that gives drivers an edge when tackling complex lines or recovering from awkward angles.
The low gearing boasts an impressive final drive ratio of 81.44:1, providing exceptional slow-speed crawling capabilities for those tight, technical trails and obstacles.
LOW CENTER OF GRAVITY
The Venture18 CC is built around a robust all-metal transmission, making it not only incredibly durable and brushless-ready but also engineered for a super-low centre of gravity to enhance stability on technical terrain.
At the axles, the rear features a metal 11-tooth pinion and 28-tooth ring gear, while the front is equipped with an overdrive setup using a 13-tooth pinion and 26-tooth ring gear housed in the centre "pumpkin" of the axle.

AXLE MOUNTED STEERING SERVO
The Venture18 CC features a strong, high-torque 1.5kg metal-geared micro steering servo. The axle mounted servo allows the Venture18 CC to go exactly where you want it with precise steering control, and the extra weight over the front axle helps the truck get over tough obstacles!
45 DEGREE STEERING ANGLE
The Venture18 CC steering setup and front universal driveshafts give the truck and impressive 45 degrees of steering angle out of the box, so you don't have to do any complicated modifications to get maximum performance on the trail.

STRAIGHT AXLES
The Venture18CC, just like classic off-roaders, is equipped with straight axles both front and rear, providing exceptional power delivery when you need it most. These rugged axles ensure that each tire operates with full-time 4WD, maximizing grip and traction on any surface.
With an impressive axle articulation of 30 degrees, the Venture18 CC can easily conquer large obstacles while keeping all four wheels firmly planted on the ground.
MULTI-LINK SUSPENSION
The Venture18 CC features a sturdy and reliable High-Clearance 4-link suspension front and at the rear. 4mm composite rod links with integrated ball links form the lower and upper suspension links front and rear.
V2 OIL-FILLED COILOVER SHOCKS
For ultimate Crawling tuning, the Venture18 CC features aluminium-capped oil-filled threaded body shock absorbers with a new lower threaded aluminum seal cap and soft springs that will easily handle the gentle bumps and dips you encounter while driving, as well as the harder hits that come with off-road trailing!
The new CC geometry allows for a softer initial suspension response and allows the suspension to articulate more smoothly and absorb obstacles rather than lifting the chassis unnecessarily.

CHASSIS RAILS
The Venture18 CC is built for performance, featuring a 2.0mm Machined Aluminium chassis design. This offers the best performance-focused crawling where low weight, low centre of gravity, and stiffness matter most. They provide the solid foundation your truck needs to tackle any terrain.

FLX-183S25-WP-C FLUX ESC
The Venture18 CC is equipped with a highly versatile FLX18-3S25-WP-C waterproof electronic speed controller, which is packed with a full range of adjustments and capabilities. The FLX18-3S25-WP-C is compatible with 2-3S LiPo and packs a lot of punch into something only 13g in weight. Adjustable drag brake on the fly using the Aux channel.
The FLX18-3S25-WP-C is compatible with the Hobbywing LED program card (available separately) which lets you customize multiple parameters, including voltage cut-off, motor rotation, and drag brake.
METAL-GEARED SD-02MGWR STEERING SERVO
The water-resistant HPI SD-02MGWR steering servo is the ideal companion for the Venture18 electronics package. This is a high torque servo with up to 1.5kg-cm holding power at 6V, plus it's water-resistant so it can easily handle splashes and water drops when driving through puddles, snow and mud. Mounted directly to the axle, it provides extra weight over the front axle to enhance the front weight bias of the Venture18.

TF-706 2.4GHz RADIO SYSTEM
The Venture18 CC comes equipped with the cutting-edge TF-706 radio system, the latest addition to the HPI-Racing steering wheel and pistol grip lineup. This fully-featured, ultra-lightweight 2.4GHz 6-channel radio is designed for precision and control, offering complete adjustability to suit your driving style. You can also select the different light options on the Venture18, using the channel 3 button on the grip!
For added versatility, the TF-706 includes a thumb stick option, enabling one-handed driving - perfect for when you need to keep a hand free for filming, or photos or even a drink!
