The Tamiya Clod Buster returns to the dirt, bringing back the highly celebrated 1987 design in a brand new 2026 release. Sporting the original red colour scheme, the 1/10 scale unassembled kit delivers a massive 380mm (14.96") overall height and aggressive monster truck styling. The vehicle is built around a heavy-duty bathtub chassis layout that houses a unique 4WD system. Providing high traction across loose surfaces, the four-wheel steering ensures the truck navigates tight turns easily, making it highly capable when crawling over backyard obstacles or carving up a local dirt track.

Mechanical grip and reliability drive the design of the heavy-duty driveline. Power is delivered through a dual-motor setup, utilising two included Type 540 motors to spin the massive chevron-tread tyres. The package includes an electronic speed control to manage the voltage effectively, ensuring consistent torque delivery straight out of the box. A completely updated front grille differentiates the 2026 release from previous iterations, arriving fully compatible with select LED lighting systems. Builders can customise the hard ABS body using the classic vintage decal sheet or apply the newly included alternative character graphics.

4WD & 4WS Chassis
Bathtub frame with durable link arm rigid axle suspension features a heavy-duty structure with link arms held by lateral arms and axle stays, and two friction dampers for each wheel. Axle housings have integrated sealed gearboxes with motors for both front and rear. Power is transmitted via gears effectively and differential gears offer smooth cornering, allowing the big Clod Buster to move quickly. Also, the 4WS system steers front and rear wheels in opposite directions - with a single steering servo - for tighter turning circles. The kit includes the Tamiya TEU-201BK twin motor ESC which allows smooth control of this twin-motor R/C model.
