Tamiya | Porsche 934（1976）50th Anniversary

First revealed in February 26' at Spielwarenmesse 2026, the Tamiya 1/10 Porsche 934 (1976) 50th Anniversary Edition (#47524) is scheduled for release in March 2026. However, the kit has already sold out in multiple regions worldwide, with Australian distributors confirming a complete sell-out before the official launch.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of our first R/C model Porsche 934, we are proud to announce the release of the Porsche 934 with a bespoke chassis featuring the motor positioned lengthwise at rear-centre powering the rear wheels just like the actual car. Collectors will be delighted to hear that magnetized body mounts (needing no body holes) are included for those who want to just display the model! The unique numbered plate is also included to add special value to this kit.

Engineered for the purest of driving experiences, this RC car kit features a 2WD rear-wheel drive chassis with the motor positioned in the rear to replicate the weight bias of the original 1976 racing legend it is based on. The level of scale detail is unmatched, even for a Tamiya. From the magnetic body mounts that eliminate unsightly posts to the complete cockpit set with driver figure. Equipped with top-tier TRF aluminium oil-filled shocks and a dark titanium motor mount, this 50th-anniversary special is a high-performance tribute that is as rewarding to build as it is to display.

Motor Position

• Motor is positioned centrally and lengthwise to make the chassis layout similar to that of the actual car. The power is transmitted as follows:
  • Pinion gear A → Spur gear → Propeller shaft → Pinion gear B → Spur gear → Gear differential (spur gears are new 66T design and all gears are 04 module. Gear differential is the one used on the TB-05 chassis)
• Change pinion gears A and B to adjust gear ratio
• Parts around gearbox are aluminium

The body is officially licensed by Porsche and Goodyear, with additional certifications from E & K Kremer GmbH and Vaillant, faithfully recreating the legendary 1976 DRM race car Porsche 934. The original car, driven by the Kremer Racing team, shone brightly in the 1976 German Racing Championship (DRM) season, becoming a track icon.

This model features a rear-motor, rear-wheel-drive chassis, independent four-wheel suspension, and TRF dampers, supporting both display and driving modes.
